According to Media Sources, The Government e-Marketplace (GeM) has crossed a historic milestone of 15 lakh crore rupees in cumulative Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) since its inception in 2016. The Commerce and Industry Ministry said that this achievement underlines the trust and confidence across buyers and sellers.
As Per Media Sources, The Ministry also informed that GeM has evolved into a robust digital platform, including Micro and Small Enterprises, startups, women-led businesses, SC/ST Enterprises and Self-Help Groups. CEO, GeM, Mihir Kumar has said that crossing the milestone is a testimony to the trust of the stakeholders. He added that this success belongs to the lakhs of sellers and buyers who have transformed the way public procurement is carried out in the country.
