According to media sources, Union Health and Family Welfare Minister J.P. Nadda has said that the healthcare policies of the Government of India are designed to take care of every section of society and to ensure a healthier nation. He further said that the government aims to establish around 1.75 lakh Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (Health and Wellness Centers) across the country in the near future and is determined to supply a large number of doctors and medical professionals to the world.

Stating that earlier, students had to travel abroad for quality medical education and healthcare facilities, Mr. Nadda said that today, world-class facilities are available within India itself. The government has also dismantled the complex regulatory processes that previously hindered the establishment of medical colleges, he added.

He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Nephrology and Urology Center at Symbiosis University Hospital and Research Center in Pune, which was inaugurated by him earlier today.
