According to the media sources, on the attack on minorities in Bangladesh, Michael Kugelman, Director of South Asia Institute at Wilson Center says “I think that there are few stories playing out in Bangladesh that deserve more scrutiny and investigation than this issue of attacks and threats to religious minorities, particularly the Bangladesh Hindu community. I say that because we know there have been documented cases of members of the Hindu community being attacked or threatened.. Yesterday, in Dhaka, there was a large protest in which you had people calling for protection for the Hindu community.. But clearly something is happening.. So even if there’s fake news, we know there are confirmed incidents of attacks and threats.. I think it will be very difficult for Bangladesh to make meaningful progress towards a peaceful political transition as long as the law and order situation, which includes attacks on and threats to religious minorities, particularly Hindus, are not fully addressed..”
