The students who are unable to complete the four-year B.Tech course and are keen on leaving, can do so with an IIT degree of B.Sc. in Engineering.
Under the National Education Policy 2020, IIT-Bombay is offering an early exit option to students unable to complete the 4-year BTech programme. If they complete 60% of the total credit requirement, they can be awarded a BSc (engineering) degree after three years.
Students have to roughly complete 60% of the total credits allotted to the course to get the BSc (engineering) degree,” said Avinash Mahajan, dean of academic programmes at the institute.
