According to media source, A 23-year-old IIT Delhi student died by suicide after he hanged himself from a weight lifting rod at his house in east Delhi’s Vivek Vihar area. A fourth-year B Tech student, Panav Jain’s body was found at 9 pm on Tuesday by his parents after they returned home from their evening walk, said police officials. Upon returning, they found their son hanging with a dupatta (scarf) at their home. They rushed Panav to Pushpanjali Hospital in the national capital but the doctors there declared him dead.
As per media reports,Police officials told that according to Panav’s father, his son had been suffering from stress and depression for the past few months and he was also undergoing treatment for depression.
According to media source, No suicide note was recovered from the body and a probe into the matter has been launched.
