According to media sources, The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall over Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh during the next 3 days. Heavy rainfall is also expected in isolated parts of Chhattisgarh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura till 24th September.
IMD has also forecast hot and humid weather over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal today. The weather agency said that widespread light to moderate rainfall is very likely over Konkan and Goa during the week. Meanwhile, Delhi and its adjoining areas are witnessing light to moderate rainfall since late night. The rainfall also affected traffic movement in the national capital this morning.
