As per media reports the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an Orange alert for four states of Northeast that is Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura with heavy rainfall predicted in the four states from 26th to 28th may.
As per the IMD bulletin, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura are very likely to receive extremely heavy rainfall (>204.4 mm) on 27 May, while heavy to very heavy rainfall (115.5-204.4 mm) is likely on 26 and 28 May, 2024.
