According to media sources, Income Tax Department has rejected the media reports in which it was stated that Digi Yatra data will be used to crack down on tax evaders. In a social media post, the Department clarified that there is no such move by it as on date. The Digi Yatra is the facial recognition technology which is used for contactless and seamless movement of passengers at different airport checkpoints.
