India Transitioning from Fuel Importer to Exporter, Says Minister Nitin Gadkari at Indian Roads Congress Meet

According to media sources, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari today said country is transitioning from a fuel-importing to a fuel-exporting nation, driven by the growing production and use of ethanol, methanol and green hydrogen.
Addressing the 84th annual session of the Indian Roads Congress (IRC) at Bhubaneswar, Mr Gadkari emphasised the Centre commitment to road safety, focusing on advanced engineering standards, intelligent transport systems, and awareness initiatives. He said India is the fastest-growing economy in the world and the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to make India the third-largest economy. Mr Gadkari said the central government aims is to build a modern infrastructure rooted in innovation and sustainable mobility solutions.
