New Delhi: Mr S M Vaidya, Chairman, Indian Oil, in the presence of IndianOil functional Directors and star actor & eco-warrior Ms Bhumi Pednekar launched a special “Sustainable & Green” uniform designed for nearly 3 lakh IndianOil Fuel Station Attendants & Indane LPG Gas delivery personnel.
The dress materials for these uniforms are made from recycled polyester obtained by processing used & discarded PET bottles. This initiative would support recycling about 405 tonnes of PET bottles, equivalent to offsetting over 20 million bottles yearly.
Speaking on new ‘Green’ uniforms for IndianOil’s frontline energy workers, Mr S M Vaidya said, “These eco-friendly uniforms will shine as our green commitment, and I am delighted that our frontline energy soldiers will don them”. IndianOil, as the Energy Of India, is committed to fueling the nation’s Go Green journey forward.
The launch of this eco-friendly uniform for on-ground IndianOil Energy soldiers is an assertion of our intent to take our Net Zero by 2046 resolve forward through a 360-degree approach”.
