Rajasthan: According to media sources, department of Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation (DoWR, RD & GR), Ministry of Jal Shakti has organized an International Conference on Dam Safety (ICDS) at Rajasthan International Centre (RIC) in Jaipur from 14th to 15th September 2023, where experts from the world over will discuss cutting-edge topics in Dam Safety and Management. Central Water Commission (CWC), National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA), WAPCOS Ltd., etc. are the main organizer of this International Conference.
The Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar has inaugurated the International Conference on the theme “Safe & Secure Dams Ensure Nation’s Prosperity”. Professionals from across the nation and about fifteen countries are expected to participate in the ground-breaking event dedicated to advancing the cause of dam safety and management.
On the side-lines of this conference, WAPCOS hosted an exhibition wherein various types of development projects undertaken by WAPCOS were displayed. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister for Jal Shakti visited WAPCOS stall along with Manik Saha, Chief Minister of Tripura and D. K Shiva Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka. R. K. Agrawal, CMD WAPCOS welcomed them and explained the projects undertaken by WAPCOS in India and abroad. Various foreign dignitaries also visited WAPCOS stall.
