According to media sources, The Kerala Film Policy Conclave, organised by the State government to help frame a comprehensive policy for the Malayalam film industry, was inaugurated today by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at Thiruvananthapuram.
In his address, the Chief Minister urged the industry to stand united against attempts to misuse cinema to spread communal hatred.
He also highlighted the industry’s growing success, stating that Malayalam films now contribute 20 per cent of the total gross collection of Indian films in 2024.
The Chief Minister noted that the industry is effectively embracing modern technologies to boost growth.
