According to media sources, The last date for nominations and recommendations for Padma Awards has been extended till 15th August. The nominations for the Awards will only be received online on the Rashtriya Puraskar Portal.
The nominations for the Padma Awards-2026 which will be announced on the occasion of Republic Day, 2026 began on 15th March this year. The Padma Awards, namely, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri, are amongst the highest civilian awards of the country. The Award seeks to recognize work of distinction and is given for distinguished and exceptional achievements and service in all fields and disciplines.
