According to media sources, Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan has accepted the resignation of State Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Dhananjay Munde as per the recommendation of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Earlier today, Mr. Munde had tendered his resignation to CM Fadnavis which was accepted by him.
The development comes after the involvement of Mr. Munde’s close aides in the murder of Santosh Deshmukh, the Sarpanch of Massajog village in Beed district, became clear. The opposition parties and BJP MLA Suresh Dhas have been raising the demand for Mr. Munde’s resignation for many days.
