Bengaluru : Today, a meeting held on importance of water conservation & recharge to ground water in bengaluru. About this meeting, Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat Tweeted, “Presided over the meeting of Consultative Committee at Bengaluru today which was attended by senior state & union Govt officials. The committee highlighted the concerns of depleting ground water & stressed the need for sustainable water management. ”
He also Tweeted, “Emphasised importance of water conservation & recharge to ground water. Apprised committee of various initiatives of the Ministry eg. Jal Shakti Abhiyan & Atal Bhujal Yojana. State officials shared info abt innovative project of recharge to groundwater using treated sewage water.”
