Today, Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) with BHEL, organised a ‘Webinar on Public Procurement through GeM for all the CPSEs/ ABs under MHI, which was presided over by Kamran Rizvi, Secretary, MHI.
Jai Prakash Srivastava, Director (E, R&D) & Director (Finance)-Addl. Charge, welcomed the gathering and Nalin Shinghal, CMD, BHEL, delivered the inaugural address. In his keynote address, Secretary MHI informed that there are no limits, if everyone stays truly committed towards procurement through GeM. Arti Bhatnagar, AS & FA, MHI; Sanjay Aggarwal, Advisor PPD, DoE, and Prakash Mirani, ACEO, GeM also addressed the gathering.
Advisor PPD, DoE appreciated BHEL for being proactive in policy interventions at the apex level. Team GeM shared the new functionalities on GeM, and BHEL shared its experience regarding procurement through GeM, which was appreciated by all. Vijay Mittal, Joint Secretary, MHI in his concluding remarks, applauded the fruitful discussions which will help all concerned.
