Today, CM Pramod Sawant posted on social media platform ‘X’, “Attended and addressed the Global Maritime Summit 2023 inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji virtually in the presence of Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra Shri Ramesh Bais, Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Maharashtra CM Shri Eknath Shinde, Union MoS Shri Shripad Y. Naik and other esteemed guests. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has given immense importance to Blue Economy. The maritime potential of India is enhancing with participation of public and private enterprises, stakeholders in the sector. Goa’s Maritime sector is driving economic growth, innovation and connectivity in the nation. I urge the Union Govt to consider Goa’s Coastline to be developed as a major Multi-Modal Maritime Logistics hub.”
