New Delhi and Riyadh Sign Haj Agreement to Secure Quota for Indian Pilgrims: PM Modi hails the agreement

According to media sources, India’s Minister of Minority Affairs, Kiran Rijiju, signed the Haj Agreement 2025 with Saudi Arabia’s Minister for Hajj and Umrah,  Dr Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, in Jeddah today. The agreement secures a quota of 175,025 pilgrims from India for the upcoming Haj season.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has welcomed the Hajj Agreement 2025, signed with the Minister for Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah. In a social media post, Mr Modi hailed this agreement for Hajj pilgrims of the country. He said the government is committed to ensuring improved pilgrimage experiences for devotees.

Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said the government is committed to providing the best possible services to all the Haj Pilgrims.

During his visit to Saudi Arabia, Minister Rijiju was engaged in several high-level meetings. In Riyadh, he met with  Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport & Logistic Services, to discuss potential collaborations in the transport and logistics sectors between the two nations.
