Today, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will declare the States’ Start-up Ranking 2021 in New Delhi. The 3rd edition of the States’ Start-up Ranking Exercise was conducted by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade with the key objective to promote India’s vision of competitive and cooperative federalism. A total of 24 States and 7 Union Territories have participated in this exercise. In 2016, there were only four states and UTs with start-up policies, but there are currently more than 30 states and UTs having start-up policies.
