According to media sources, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has launched a Project Aarohan to support the educational aspirations of toll plaza employees. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said that the initiative aims to remove financial barriers and provide equal access to quality education for students from economically weaker sections. Speaking on the launch of the initiative, NHAI Chairman Santosh Kumar Yadav said Project Aarohan reflects the commitment of NHAI towards toll plaza employees and their families.
He said the project is aimed at nurturing the talent of the students, who will power the growth of the country. The project aims to cover five hundred students from Class 11 to the final year of graduation. Each student will receive an annual scholarship of 12 thousand rupees during the financial year 2025-26. Additionally, fifty bright students aspiring for postgraduate and higher studies will be supported with scholarships of 50 thousand rupees each. The application process will be conducted through an online portal, requiring students to submit relevant documents like academic records, income proof, caste certificate, ID proof.
