NSE & BSE climb in early trade

Mumbai: Benchmark stock indices open on a positive note on Tuesday. NSE Nifty opened at 18,303.40 while Sensex BSE opened at 61,879.68. NSE is expected to reach 18,334.30. On the other hand, BSE is expected to touch 62,007.52 in a higher range. On Monday, Nifty closed at 18,264.40 while BSE closed at 61,764.25.

Stocks in action

As per the live NSE data, 39 stocks are in the green zone while 10 are in red zone and one remains unchanged. The BSE data reflects that 24 stocks are gaining while six are losing. Coal India, Powergrid, NTPC, ONGC, and BPCL feature amongst the gainers while State Bank of India, Sun Pharma, UPL, and ITC are on the losers’ list.

Performance of markets worldwide

All US markets including, Dow Jones, S&P 500 and Nasdaq are showing bullish trends. European markets are also on bullish mode. In terms of Asian markets, Nikkei 225, Shanghai Composite, KOSPI, Hang Seng are showing bullish trends. Jakarta Composite, SET Composite and Straits Times are showing a bearish trend.

In terms of commodities, brent crude, and crude oil are showing signs of a bearish trend while gold is bullish.
