According to media sources, Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr L. Murugan, has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has allocated people’s welfare schemes amounting to Rs. 15 lakh crore in the first 100 days of his government since his election for the third time. Speaking at Thoothukudi today, he said that for the infrastructure, the government had allocated three lakh crore rupees for women-led households.
He said that FM radio stations will be set up in 11 cities in Tamil Nadu. Mr. Modi said that Rs. 6300 crore was allocated for the development of railways in the state. Mr Murugan said that the One Nation, One Election concept will save a lot of finance for the nation and blamed the opposition for diverting the issue. The Minister said that the government had implemented many schemes for the welfare of the fishermen in the state. He assured that the External Affairs Ministry was taking immediate steps to free the fishermen in Sri Lankan jails.
