Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak twitted “I was really pleased to welcome Swedish PM Ulf Kristersson to Downing Street today. We are historic friends and essential allies.”
He also twitted “British and Swedish forces already serve alongside one another, including through the UK-led The Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF). Soon we will also do this as @NATO allies. Our Alliance will be stronger with Sweden as its 32nd member. I also congratulated the PM on his country’s recent victory at Eurovision in Liverpool. The UK was proud to host the competition on behalf of Ukraine this year. I look forward to seeing what Sweden has in store next year.
