As per the media reports, on Monday Pakistan’s prime minister Shehbaz Sharif resigned as president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). Shehbaz Sharif has sent his party president resignation to PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif. Shehbaz was elected the PML-N president unopposed at a convention of the party’s General Council on March 13, 2018. As per the reports the new president would be elected in the party’s general council meeting on May 28.
