As per the media sources One97 Communications’s subsidiary company Paytm Money likely to appoint Rakesh Singh, former CEO of wealth management firm Fisdom’s broking division, as the new CEO after Varun Sridhar resigned from the role.
As per media report, Sridhar has served as Paytm Money CEO since 2020, he has transitioned to a different role within the company. There are discussions to rope him to Paytm insurance or the main payments division.
As per the sources Paytm Money is likely to approve the appointment of Rakesh Singh in a week as the board of the firm has not held a meeting to approve the same. Before joining Paytm Money, Rakesh Singh was a veteran in the banking industry with over 18 years of experience–held the same position at Fisdom, a discount brokerage firm, for over five years.
