According to media sources, The Press Information Bureau has announced several new initiatives to enhance media facilitation for the upcoming International Film Festival of India in Goa. Speaking during a media interaction, Principal DG of PIB Dhirendra Ojha said, over 700 journalists were accredited for last year’s festival – the highest so far – and more than 50 press conferences were held featuring filmmakers, jury members, and stars. This year, PIB will continue multilingual press releases in 18 languages, including Konkani, and will provide HD photo captions and live YouTube coverage of press conferences.
A special “IFFIwood” studio will again offer space for one-on-one interviews, while a film appreciation course for accredited journalists will begin on November 18. The PIB microsite will serve as a one-stop hub for press releases, photographs, and live event links.
Officials also clarified that the opening ceremony format is being finalized, and copyright guidelines for broadcast content will be clearly communicated in advance.
