Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugrate New Terminal Building at Port Blair Airport on 18th July. PM Modi tweets “The new integrated terminal building at Veer Savarkar International Airport, Port Blair, will ensure easier travel to Andaman and Nicobar islands. This will be a big boost for tourism in particular. The building will be inaugurated tomorrow, 18th July, at 10:30 AM.”
Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia also twitted “Gateway of #AndamanandNicobar, to enter a new era of infrastructure development and enhanced connectivity! The New Integrated Terminal Building at Veer Savarkar International Airport, Port Blair is all set to be inaugurated by PM Sh @narendramodi Ji, tomorrow at 10:30 am. Built at a cost of Rs 708 crore, the facility will be capable of serving 1200 during peak hours, will further boost tourism, and create new economic and employment opportunities for local communities.”
