Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Gujarat from today. Tomorrow, PM Modi will inaugurate the redeveloped temple of Shree Kalika Mata at Pavagadh Hill. It is one of the area’s oldest temples and attracts pilgrims in large numbers.

PM Modi will also inaugurate and lay foundation stones of development projects worth 21 thousand crore rupees. At Vadodara, PM Modi will take part in the ‘Gujarat Gaurav Abhiyan.’

Prime Minister will dedicate and lay the foundation stone of various Railway projects worth over 16 thousand crore rupees.

Among these are the 357-kilometer long New Palanpur – Madar Section of Dedicated Freight Corridor, the 166-kilometer long Ahmedabad-Botad Section’s gauge conversion, and the electrification of the 81-kilometer long Palanpur – Mitha Section.

He will also lay the foundation stone for the renovation of Surat, Udhna, Somnath, and Sabarmati Stations, as well as for other initiatives in the Railway sector. These projects will assist in lowering logistical costs and boosting the region’s industry and agriculture sectors.

In the Dabhoi taluka of Gujarat, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for Gujarat Central University in Kundhela village. PM Modi will launch the Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana, which will cost 800 crore rupees and aims to improve maternal and child health.

Under the scheme, Anganwadi Centres will provide pregnant and lactating mothers with two kilograms of chickpeas, one kilogram of tur dal, and one kilogram of edible oil  every month at free of cost .
