According to media sources, Punjab police have arrested the main accused of the grenade attack on the residence of a senior BJP leader and National Executive Member, Manoranjan Kalia, in Jalandhar.
Punjab Police Chief Gaurav Yadav while disclosing this on his social media handle claimed that the arrested accused Saidul Ameen is a resident of Amroha in Uttra Pradesh and has been arrested from Delhi, today. He is the prime accused responsible for the grenade attack on Kalia’s residence on the intervening night of April 7th and 8th.
He said that the breakthrough happened with the support of Central Agencies and Delhi Police.
Earlier, within 12 hours of the incident, two local associates who facilitated logistical support to the prime accused were also apprehended by the police on April 8th.
