Odisha: According to the media sources, Jagannath Puri temple’s Ratna Bhandar opened today after 46 years. On 13 July, the Odisha government gave approval for the opening of the Ratna Bhandar after carrying out the inventorization of valuables, including pieces of jewellery stored there.
Valuables inside Srimandir Treasury Trove reflect centuries of devotion and cultural heritage. Puri Jagannath Temple’s Ratna Bhandar, the chamber of secret, opened after 46 years.
As per the media reports, Odisha Deputy CM Pravati Parida said, “We are departing today (for Puri) as per the instructions by CM, and we will stay there till ‘Niladri Bije’.. We will look after the smooth and convenient conduct of all the programs in Puri.. Huge crowd is coming to offer blessings at Puri. We will try our best to take care of the safety and security of everyone.. Ratna Bhandar will open today. Other governments were keeping it a secret till now..”
