Sikkim: ₹61.66 Crore Disbursed to 34,000 Farmers Under PM-KISAN So Far

According to media sources, State-Level Live Telecast Program on PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi (20th Installment) was held at Ranipool, East Sikkim, organized by ICAR-KVK East Sikkim and SAMETI, Department of Agriculture, Government of Sikkim.

The main event was streamed live from Varanasi, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi released ₹20,500 crore under the 20th instalment of PM-KISAN, benefiting over 9.7 crore farmers across India.

In Sikkim, the Department of Agriculture, ICAR-KVK, and State Agricultural Management & Extension Training Institute (SMETI) participated virtually from Ranipool, with Principal Director T.T. Bhutia as the Chief Guest.

In Sikkim, out of approximately 65,000 farmer families, around 34,000 farmers are registered under the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi scheme and have collectively received ₹61 crore 66 lakh 84 thousand so far.

Additional Director and State Nodal Officer Rachana Gurung shared this information during the program.
