SJVN Limited received Letter of Awards for executing three solar projects of 320 MW from Assam Power Development Corporation Limited (APDCL). CMD SJVN Nand Lal Sharma said, “The 50 MW & 70 MW solar projects have been allotted at tariff of Rs. 3.92 per unit & will be developed under solar park category. Third solar project of 200 MW has been allotted at tariff of Rs 3.90 per unit & will be developed anywhere in Assam.”
These projects are expected to generate 628 MU of green energy in a year & generation over a period of 25 years would be around 14,591 MU. Contributing to the ‘Net Zero by 2070’ target, projects are expected to reduce 7.14 lakh tonnes of carbon emission on commissioning.
An investment of Rs 1900 crores is estimated to be incurred on these projects which in turn will contribute to overall socio-economic development of the state. SJVN is keen to be a key partner in progress of Assam and development of the green energy in the state.
