New Delhi: Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN Limited and Prof. H.M. Suryavanshi, Director, NIT Hamirpur today on November 5, 2022 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for establishing SJVN Chair Professorship for taking up R&D activities in the field of Hydro, PSP, Renewables, Hydrogen, BESS etc.
Sh. Nand Lal Sharma said that the MOU will serve as a catalyst to build a strong collaboration between academia and industry to grow R&D activities in the power sector. It will also serve academia to get an insight into practical problems being faced by the industry today.
This will serve in the development of the country in the field of the Power Sector. As a part of this MOU, SJVN is contributing Rs 40 Lakhs for establishing SJVN R&D Chair at NIT Hamirpur.
On this occasion Prof. Vinod Kapoor, Registrar, NITH, Prof. Meenakshi Jain, Dean (R&C) and Sh. Harish Sharma, Chief General Manager, Electrical Design/ R&D along with senior officials from SJVN were also present.
