According to media sources, The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has rolled out a series of reforms to make its examinations more transparent, secure, and convenient for lakhs of aspirants across the country. Candidates appearing in SSC exams can now view their own question papers, responses, and the correct answers. These will allow candidates to challenge answer keys with evidence, as well as keep copies for their personal use. Some of the key reforms of the commission include disclosure and dissemination of question papers, fee reduction for challenging questions from one hundred to fifty rupees per question, Aadhaar-based authentication and equi-percentile normalisation.
The Commission has also decided to publish selected past question papers as official sample sets at regular intervals to further assist aspirants. In addition to the already existing toll-free helpline, SSC has also set up a portal for quicker redressal of candidate concerns. To enhance direct communication, SSC has launched its official handle on X (@SSC_GoI) and urged candidates to rely only on official announcements. The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions said that these measures were used in the recently concluded Tier-I of the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) 2025. It added that about 28 lakh candidates had applied for the exam and nearly 13.5 lakh actually appeared for the exam across 126 cities and 255 centres.
