Telangana aims to produce 20k MW of green energy by 2030

According to Media Sources, Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has said the state government’s clean and green energy push was drawing significant national and international investment. The state government has signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) worth 29 thousand crore rupees with two private renewable energy companies. The projects are part of the state government’s larger goal to produce 20 thousand megawatts (MW) of green energy by 2030. Speaking at an MoU signing event at the Telangana Institute of Rural Development in Hyderabad, the deputy Chief minister said, the state recently launched a new Clean and Green Energy Policy that has attracted interest among investors.

As Per Media Sources, A private company signed an MoU with the State-owned company, Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation Ltd. (TG REDCO) to invest 2,000 crore rupees in setting up compressed biogas projects across 15 districts. These projects, using paddy straw as feedstock, are expected to provide financial benefits to farmers, especially given the state’s large-scale paddy cultivation. Ecorace Energy India also signed another MoU generating 5600 MW green energy with an investment of 27 thousand crore rupees.
