According to Media Sources, In Telangana, students from various colleges in the Twin Cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad tied Rakhis, in the presence of Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, to officers of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, symbolizing gratitude. The “Rakhi for Soldiers” celebrations organised by the Samskruti Foundation held at Raj Bhavan, in Hyderabad yesterday. Extending Raksha Bandhan greetings, the Governor reflected on the festival’s deeper meaning of mutual protection and responsibility, invoking the Mahabharata tale of Draupadi and Lord Krishna.
As Per Media Sources, He noted that soldiers are not only those at the borders but also include individuals serving the nation selflessly in various fields-from scientists to sanitation workers. Calling for unity and ethical nation-building, the governor emphasized the need to protect not just physical boundaries, but also the values of Dharma, truth, and constitutional principles. He appreciated the Samskruti Foundation for fostering patriotic values among youth and warmly interacted with students during the event.
