The construction of the new Integrated Terminal Building NITB of AAI’s Pune airport is in full swing and is most likely to be completed in September 2023 & commissioned in October 2023. The total cost of the NITB project, with a built-up area of 50,000 sqm, is Rs. 475 Crore. The swanky new building will have five passenger boarding bridges, 34 check-in counters, and an in-line baggage handling system. It has been designed as an energy-efficient structure with a Four-Star GRIHA rating and has all modern facilities for passengers’ convenience. With enhanced features, Pune Airport’s New Terminal will be capable of handling the growing passenger traffic of the region. The facade of the public area below the great Verandah is supported by beautiful Maratha arches and decorated columns with a finish of local dark stone.
