Kuwait Oil Company proposed for the supply of 24 oil drilling rigs of 2000 & 1500 horsepower, similarly 20 smaller drilling rigs of 750 horsepower.
Responsible oil sources revealed that Kuwait Oil Company requested the supply of 44 drilling rigs from specialized international companies for five years.
As per sources, 30th May is the last date for receiving financial bids to participate in the tender, while a preliminary meeting will be held on 16th March and 21st March will be the last date to respond the inquiries. Sources said that demand for drilling rigs coincides with the directions of the KOC to increase the production capacity of crude oil and gas for future demand.
