According to media sources, In Tripura, due to the incessant rainfall, the district administrations of Khowai and Dhalai have directed to close the government and private schools for today. The IMD has warned of a red alert forecasting heavy rainfall for the next three hours in West Tripura and Khowai districts. In the last 24 hours, the Agartala airport has received the highest 99.5 millimetres in West Tripura district. For the remaining six districts of Sepahijala, Dhalai, North Tripura, Gomati, South Tripura, and Unakoti, the IMD has sounded orange alert. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, who returned to Agartala from Delhi last night after an official engagement, chaired a review meeting with senior officials to assess the current flood situation across the state. He has instructed all the officials to leave no stone unturned to ensure timely support and relief to the affected people.
