Today, U.S. FDA Commissioner Dr. Robert M. Califf had a bilateral meeting with Sudhansh Pant, Secretary Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). Food Safety & Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) CEO GKV Rao was also present on this occasion. They discussed several areas of mutual interests.
The U.S. agreed to work with India on agendas concerning development of IT Infrastructure, sensitizing and upskilling the food inspectors through training programs, and knowledge sharing.
