Today, Union Finance & Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman gave a virtual address on the occasion of Bhoomi Pooja and Foundation Stone laying ceremony of GST Bhavan, Tirupati CGST Commissionerate. According to Media Sources, the new GST Bhawan reflects the Central Government’s commitment to bolstering infrastructure and efficiency in tax administration.
As per Media Sources, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the Tirupati Commissionerate boosted revenue collection with an impressive growth of about 300% after introduction of the GST regime.
According to Media Sources, Secretary of Department of Revenue, Sanjay Malhotra exhorts CBIC officers to continue to focus on grievance redressal mechanism for the taxpayers.
