Today, Union Minister for Power and New & Renewable Energy, R. K. Singh launched the EV-Ready India Dashboard, which enables consumers to book charging stations for their EVs in advance. It uses data and AI to offer comprehensive insights into the world of EVs in India.
Speaking after unveiling of the dashboard, the Hon’ble Minister emphasised on the need to go electric. “Transport is one of the biggest contributors of emissions in India. In the context, decarbonising transport is critical for us once battery storage becomes cheaper, EVs will drive the transport sector. The future is electric. It augurs well for India as we are one of the fastest growing major economies and world leader in energy transition,” said the Minister.
