According to media sources, Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Tokhan Sahu today said that urbanization is the one of the most significant drivers of gross domestic product (GDP) growth and employment generation.
Addressing world Habitat day celebrations in New Delhi today, the Minister said that India will experience more urbanization in the next 40 to 50 years than it has experienced in the past 200 years.
The Minister further added that the success of India’s development journey will depend on how we advance sustainable urbanization.
