According to media source, The White House confirmed on Tuesday that US President Joe Biden has tested negative for Covid-19 and is scheduled to travel to India on Thursday to participate in the G20 Summit. During this summit, President Biden will engage in a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
As per media reports, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan provided details during a White House press conference, saying, “On Thursday, the President will journey to New Delhi to attend the G20 leader’s summit. On Friday, President Biden will engage in a one-on-one meeting with Prime Minister Modi. Subsequently, on Saturday and Sunday, he will take part in the official sessions of the G20 summit.” Sullivan emphasized President Biden’s commitment to working with emerging market partners to achieve significant outcomes collectively during the G20 summit. He expressed optimism that the summit would highlight the ability of the world’s major economies to collaborate, even in challenging times. Biden’s absence from the G20 summit would have been a setback for host India.
