Bhopal: Today, On 20th October, WAPCOS Limited, a public sector undertaking under aegis of Ministry of Jal Shakti was honored & awarded by NARAKAS, Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs during the 48th Half Yearly gathering of NARAKAS Samiti at Citrus Prime Hotel & Resorts, Narmadapuram Road, Bhopal (M.P.).
Constitution of “NARAKAS”- Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, order dated 22.11.1976. 1/14011/12/76-R.B. According to (Ka-1), city official language implementation committees may be constituted in all cities of the country where there are 10 or more central government offices. The Committee is constituted with the permission of Secretary (Official Language), Government of India on the basis of proposals received from the Regional Implementation Offices of the Department of Official Language. The activities of implementation of official language are inspected and reported to the Honorable President of India by Parliamentary Committee of Official Language.
With the objective of increasing the use of official language Hindi in central government sectors, NARAKAS invited more than 30 public sectors working in Madhya Pradesh to witness the 48th Half Yearly gathering of the Samiti. The Program was welcomed by Ramakant Pandey from HPCL and later on took over by Ananadkrishna, Secretary, NARAKAS-PSU. Representatives of all Public Sector has given brief description about their day to day working in Hindi as Official Language.
G. S. Tiwari, Chief Advisor, WAPCOS also gives the brief description to promote the use of Rajbhasha Hindi in official working. He also describes the importance of the use of Rajbhasha Hindi and talked about the progress of officials of WAPCOS Limited to promote the Hindi language.
Harish Chauhan, Assistant Director (Implementation), Central Region, Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, briefed about the use of Hindi as an official language. Sunil Kumar, President, NARAKAS-PSU and Dashrath Gadekar, Manager (HR), HPCL have given the guidance to all members of the Samiti.
At the end of the event, WAPCOS limited has been awarded for the wonderful working in promoting Hindi language in official working. G. S. Tiwari, Chief Advisor, WAPCOS and Avnish Mishra, Sr. Engineer, WAPCOS received the award. Neelansha Diwedi, Engineer, was also present in this ceremony. This achievement has added another feather in cap of success of WAPCOS Limited.
