Prime Minister Narendra Modi said today in an interview with TV news channel Aaj Tak that “I don’t work with the intention of merely running the government; my intentions are clear on serving the people. In 2014, I focused on the first 100 days of my government. In 2019, I expanded the priorities and turned my attention toward global politics as well. In 2024, I am aiming for long-term goals. For the past five years, I have been working on a vision for India in 2047, taking inputs from thousands of people to shape this vision.”
PM Modi also said “Around a year ago, I made it clear to my Party members that they should not wait for a candidate. They must realise that every task they undertake, they are doing it for the Lotus. Ironically, it’s not just my Party members but also the Opposition that is working for the Lotus. The more dirt they throw at us, the more we bloom. In a democracy, we must not compartmentalise elections as merely a lose/win situation. Elections provide us an opportunity to convey our message directly to the people without any dilution or diversion. I believe that every political party should fully utilize elections to educate and inform voters about their ideologies. It’s unfortunate that instead of taking accountability for events, leaders are now more focused on playing the ‘blame game’. Every political party should have members who can stand up for and take responsibility for their party’s actions.”
Prime Minister also said here that ” Who was the first person to tamper with the Constitution in this country? It was Pandit Nehru. The amendments he brought to the Constitution were meant to restrict freedom of speech, which was against democracy and against the Constitution. After that, his daughter overturned a court judgment and imposed emergency. Rajiv Gandhi overturned the Supreme Court judgment in Shah Bano case and imposed restrictions on media. Prince of Congress once tore down the decision of Union Cabinet. Hence, 4 different members of the same family have insulted our Constitution at different times.

Prince of Congress once tore down the decision of Union Cabinet. Hence, 4 different members of the same family have insulted our Constitution at different times. For the Congress family, democracy seems to imply that someone from their own lineage should rule the country. It’s been challenging for them to accept that since 2014, the Prime Minister has been someone outside their family circle. Members of the Congress party are burdened by the history of their family. Psychologically, they are still comparing Modi to their ancestors. During the times of Nehru, it was a common saying that it was the govt of ‘Tata-Birla’. So, now they want to avenge him by defaming me. I am steadfast in my belief that individuals with talent and those who generate wealth should be celebrated. If we fail to acknowledge their accomplishments, how can India progress? Congress’ agenda is undeniably communal, and I’ve made it a point to highlight this during my rallies. When I object to their agenda of treating a minority differently, it’s framed as non-secular. And, because I use terms like ‘Muslims’ or ‘minorities’, they spin it into a narrative suggesting I’m speaking against those sections. While, in reality, I’m speaking out against their appeasement policies.”
Prime Minister said that “For this election, I find satisfaction in the voter turnout in Srinagar. To me, it’s a stamp of approval for my policies. In 2019, there was an internet blockade in Kashmir, which led to resentment from the masses. However, I foresaw the future. I understood that short-term inconvenience would pave the way for long-term satisfaction. When envisioning Viksit Bharat, I pay attention to two critical aspects. Firstly, the untapped potential of Eastern India, which is abundant in resources yet plagued by high poverty rates. Secondly, the immense capabilities of Indian women. I firmly believe that leveraging these two aspects will play a pivotal role in shaping Viksit Bharat by 2047.
