In a tweet from the official twitter account of World Bank India it is stated that, “The WorldBank approved $200 million to facilitate power sector reforms in Himachal Pradesh and increase the share of the Renewable Energy in electricity generation.”
World Bank’s Vice President for the South Asia Region, Martin Raiser tweeted, “As India transitions towards green energy, a new $200 million World Bank project will support Himachal Pradesh in its goal to meet 100% of its energy needs through renewable energy by 2030. This includes adding 150 MW of grid-connected solar projects.”
